Akina Salazar is a 12th grader at Wilcox High School. She was born in Mountain View and grew up in Santa Clara. She is a staff writer for the Wilcox Scribe and this is her first year on the team. She chose to take Journalism because she believes in the importance of spreading news to students on campus. Additionally, her brother was a journalist in high school and he is a big role model for her. In her spare time, she loves drawing, playing guitar, and listening to music.
