Ava Kushner is a highschool junior at wilcox. She has just joined the Scribe team and is new to the profession of journalism. She chose journalism as she's been in English honors since middle school, and has been writing articles, opinion pieces, short stories and poetry her whole life. Her fondest memory is spending lunch in the library to write stories. Journalism is important to Ava because she wants to be able to inform people of the current situations they are in. She wants to spread truth and help educate people about what's going on around them. She is very interested in music and in her free time performs with her band “24 hours”, as well as plays the electric guitar. She hopes to pursue a career in journalism one day and also continue keeping up with her music.
