Known for her bubbly and outgoing personality, there is never a dull moment around Christina Telebrico. “She’s very social and mixing, and tries to make everyone feel included,” says Priyam Mohanty, a fellow senior who has known her for three years. Anyone who has ever talked to her will agree that she is a ray of sunshine. Brennen Oen, friend of Telebrico, adds that “She is really sociable and can relate with anybody.”

As a senior here at Wilcox, Christina Telebrico has been involved with Wilcox since the day she set foot on campus. Starting from her freshman year, Telebrico has been involved in many school related activities. As a freshman, she was a Chargerette but decided to stick with student council. Ishita Monga, a fellow senior, included that she has “known her since freshman year because of council, and the first thing she said to me was ‘Hi, I’m awkward.’” Monga  added “She is very open and welcoming.”

Telebrico is well liked by many students, and loves being involved. When asked about her favorite things about Wilcox, she replied, “the diversity and community.”

Telebrico has been on student council for the past three years, and is now part of ASB as clubs commissioner with Davis Ngo, another senior. They help organize events like the Club Faire, Multi-Cultural Rally and other events that work with different clubs on campus. She enjoys being on ASB because she loves the process of planning school events like dances and homecoming. “I also take in account of the different opinions from different groups of people on campus because I believe opinions matter,” says Telebrico.

Along with being on ASB and council, Telebrico has been involved in many clubs throughout her time at Wilcox and loves joining them. Her favorite club is Interact, where she is the vice president and has been a member for the past three years. She assists club president Lily Solomon  in Area 11, which is the area that Wilcox is a part of along with other schools nearby. “I really love the club’s purpose and the diversity that the club offers,” says Telebrico. “I’ve met so many people who I consider family in that club which I’m really thankful for.” She attends almost all community service events that Interact offers and thoroughly enjoys giving back through volunteering.

Additionally, she devotes hours on end working on preparations for her class. “I usually find myself spending the entire day at Ishita’s during float building or fantastics,” adds Telebrico.

In addition, Telebrico is part of Red Cross, FASA, WAG, and ATAC. She serves as fundraiser for Red Cross in her first year of being an officer. She helps raise CPR certification awareness by being a part of Red Cross. Furthermore, she is also part of FASA, short for Filipino American Student Association, in which she is co-president and “keeps in touch with cultural roots.” She is secretary of ATAC (Active Teens Against Cancer) where she helps raise cancer awareness, and plans on helping out with the Creighton Lane Alumni Game. As clubs commissioner, she spends most of her ASB time organizing clubs. As for WAG (Wilcox Animal Group), she is just a normal member that loves animals. Telebrico is a big fan of dogs and they are her favorite animal. Though she does not own one herself, she enjoys taking care of her sister’s dog.

Telebrico’s favorite class as a senior is AP Statistics with Mr. Contreras. Additionally, she is trilingual, speaking English, French and Tagalog, and is currently taking AP French. Aside from school, she also spends a lot of her time babysitting. She has been babysitting a neighbor for almost two years now, and has been enjoying it very much.

In her free time, Telebrico enjoys napping, watching Jane the Virgin, and going to the movies. She loves going to the movies so much that she even has a movie ticket collection. One of the things she enjoys most about going to the theaters is the overall atmosphere. She loves thriller movies, but her ultimate favorite movie is She’s the Man, a story about a girl who poses as her brother to play soccer. Along with watching movies, Telebrico enjoys listening to music. Some of her favorite bands and artists are Coldplay and Sam Smith. Her favorite songs include “Caroline” and “Closer”.

Overall, Christina Telebrico is just an extremely energetic, fun-loving, social person. She is tremendously involved around Wilcox, and you can always find her with a smile on her face!
